Fleck 2500/2900 Seal Kit

These valves will use one of two injector assemblies.  The 1600 series pictured on top uses a 3/8 tubing line to connect to the brine tank.  For larger resin tanks the 1700 series assemblies are used.  The black injector assembly housing on the 1600 series measures about 1.3” in length and the 1700 measures 2.3”.

The injectors enable the salt brine from the brine tank to be drawn into the valve and injected into the resin bed.  Proper brining should insure the full amount of brine is introduced into the resin bed within the first 15 minutes of the normal 60 minute brine and slow rinse cycle.  Different mineral tank diameters will require different throats and nozzles and these must be a matched set.  These sets are color coordinated for easy identification: green, red, white, blue or yellow

The injector section of the 3900 softener valve uses the 1800 series size injector assembly pictured in the diagram.  The injector nozzle part #2 and the injector throat part #3 are a venturi used to create a drawing pressure on the brine line.  This enables the salt brine from the brine tank to be drawn into the valve and directed into the resin bed.  Proper brining should insure the full amount of brine to be introduced into the resin bed within the first 15 minutes of the normal 60 minute brine and slow rinse cycle.  Different mineral tank diameters will require different throats and nozzles and these must be a matched set.  These sets are color coordinated for easy identification: green, red, white, blue, yellow, violet or black.
